The summer is over and I hope that you have achieved everything that you set out to for your role as OL. I hope that you gained that new perspective, made new friends, and learned more about the world. More than anything, I hope that you can see marked personal growth. Better leadership, better communication, better collaboration.
You have been successful if you provided the support and mentorship that each student needed. Even if you made just one person's transition easier, that is everything. If your students have made genuine, meaningful connections, then you have also been successful.
As a team member I hope that you have been supportive and have served as a resource for those around you. I hope that you grew closer to all of those that worked with you and learnt more about their stories and what makes them who they are.
Lastly, I hope that you have left a legacy of authenticity. Hopefully each student was inspired by your hard work and care for them and your role as OL.I hope that you remind every student of what is possible when you try new things and do the things that you are passionate about.
