Dear Future Me,

As you begin M2, take a moment to remember everything you accomplished during M1. It was a year filled with challenges, growth, and many lessons. There were moments when you questioned yourself, especially after the Integumentary block and receiving your lowest exam score. While that experience was difficult, it reminded you that setbacks do not define your abilities. Instead, they are opportunities to adjust, learn, and become stronger.

Carry forward the habits that helped you succeed: staying consistent, using active recall and practice questions, and being willing to change your study strategies when something is not working. Remember that you tend to underestimate yourself. Do not let self-doubt outweigh the evidence of your hard work and progress. Trust the preparation you have put in and recognize how much you have already learned.

As you prepare for COMLEX, stay disciplined and focus on steady progress rather than perfection. Build a routine that includes regular question practice, reviewing weak areas, and taking care of your physical and mental well-being. Small, consistent efforts each day will add up over time.

Most importantly, be patient with yourself. Medical school is a marathon, not a sprint. Celebrate your successes, learn from your mistakes, and keep moving forward with confidence. You have already overcome difficult challenges, and you are more capable than you sometimes believe. Trust yourself—you've earned it.

Sincerely,

Your M1 Self
