Dear future Ron,

I am writing you this letter because despite this depression, I have hope. I have hope that things will get better, and I have hope that you are an overall better person than I am.

I just wanted to remind you to continue having hope. Even if things did not get better from when I wrote this letter, they will get better later on. It just has to work that way.

I am excited for all of the things that you have experienced, and that you will get to experience. I cannot wait to see which school you went to. I cannot wait to see if you like your program. I look forward to meeting the friends you will make, and remembering the friends you will keep. I am so excited for the great time you are going to have at World Pride. I really hope that you have learned to love yourself. If so, I am really happy for you. If not, you will get there, I promise.

Try to find happiness in the little things, like bonding over your fav TV show with friends, or the feeling after you finish homework, or after making something nice, or after helping someone out. Or even the not-so-little-things, like the feeling of going to a great party that one time.

Just please remember, when it seems like no one else loves you, that I will always love you. I know that sounds super cheesy but it just has to be said. Hopefully you understand.

Your past self,
Ron
