Letter to myself [December 7 2020]
Dear future self.
I hope you are doing well. Right now I'm in the last weeks of my first quarter in college. It's been a journey of highs and lows, but I've come out of it with new friends and new perspectives on life.
It's been rough transitioning to college, especially during a pandemic. I was originally going to meet up with some friends from high school at UW, but those plans fell through the roof. I didn't know how I was going to make friends and find community. Fortunately, a small group leader of AAIV reached out to me. I took a chance and joined small group for the first time. Ever since, I have been joining them for games, relaxing, and studying the Bible together. Despite not being able to go to campus, I found new friends and a place where I could share my struggles and concerns.
Currently the pandemic is still at its worst. I don't exactly know how long it will take before we get back to normal. Hopefully by the time you are reading this we are finally recovered. It still feels like there is no end. Some days it feels like the light at the end of the tunnel is so so so far away.
Well that's all I have to say right now. I wonder what you'll think reading this. I probably won't remember any of this, so I hope this isn't too shocking. I hope you'll still remember this time in your life. See you in the future.
Lemuel
