Dear Alex (Diesel Hammer),
By the time you read this, the greatest journey you have ever taken part in will be coming to end. I hope you can be proud of all that you have accomplished in the marching band. It was truly the greatest decision of your life. As your college career winds down, I hope you have found yourself to be the successful, motivated and strong individual that I aspire to be. I hope you have made countless friends, experienced things that few people have the opportunity to, and enjoyed every single day. I hope you have squeezed every drop of fun from your time here at the U. I hope you can look back and be proud of every decision you have made. I hope you have shown those who look up to you the meaning of the words "Pride of Minnesota". I hope that you have enjoyed every minute on that field, because as long as they may seem at the time, I'm sure that they are never enough.
Looking forward, I hope you have made great strides in your career path, something that you and those who know you can be extremely proud of. There is no reason you can't accomplish everything you want and more.
As such a extravagant chapter in your life comes to a close, make sure to look back and see where you started, I guarantee it will amaze you. You should be proud of who you are, what you've accomplished and how you've affected those around you, and I know you will be.
