Dear Future Me,

12/4/15 is the day that I sent you this letter.

First of all, how are you? I know that today, the second semester is already finished. How's the finals' week? I bet it was really hard and I hope you have given it all. I hope that you are fine too. Did you survive it? Well, whether you did not or you did (I hope you did 'cause I really believe in yourself and I know you can beat the odds), everything is going to be alright. Everything's gonna be fine. Even though you have these tendencies to break down and to lose yourself--like you feel you're a failure and you're incapable in making things right--that you feel hopeless because you already failed the last first semester and you'd let down your parents, always remember why you started. Your real reasons why you want to become a successful doctor.

Remember this day (12/4/15), you gave your food to the street children (you planned it yourself earlier this morning). It was a very hot afternoon, yet, with effort, you approached them and you didn't mind the scorching heat of the sun (you were so sweaty back there) as long as you've given the food to them. Remember also this day that a Japanese female stranger suddenly approached you and asked you to buy those adorable key chains for a certain charity. You bought one, the dark blue turtle key chain. Do you still have it until now? Although you knew it yourself that you weren't even sure if it's real or just a fraud, you still bought it. You didn't hesitate to get your money even if you're really broke (lol) on that time--because deep in your self, you really want to help.

You always want to help people--wherever they came from, whatever nationality they have or who they are. You're always jokingly telling everyone that you want to become a doctor 'cause you want to become rich which in reality, deep in yourself, you don't care about how much you'll earn as long as you have helped someone--the unfortunate ones. This was your real reason that you want to help everyone and also plus, you want to give back something for your family. Hey, I also remembered you joked that if ever you failed this semester, you'll join a sacred congregation--to become a nun. Haha.

But before I end this letter, I want you to have another laugh, remember the nursing guy who became your crush? You made him your inspiration to become thin and to be better in college. Is there any improvement with the 'figure'? HAHAHA. I really hope there is. Nah, I know there would be. Also, is there any progress between you two? Though I know it was a little impossible because both of you are taking different courses adding that you don't really know each other.

But did something happen? Have you talked or knew each other's name? Or just even a little progress between you two? Hahaha. Whatever your answer is, it can wait. (Rofl)
Wow, we are really neat to the end.

You know, you always love to put a facade in front of everyone, pretending to be happy and cheerful but the truth is you're not. You're fragile. And this day, while I wrote this letter, I know you're feeling shit and hopeless because of your examinations' results--thinking that you will fail again. But in behalf of those adversities, I believe in you. I know you will make it.

Don't let anything put you down. Don't lose the courage. Always remember your real reasons. And while you're reading this letter I sent to you, whatever happened in your life today (4/10/16), I know you'll going to be successful. Everything will turn out to be alright. Don't lose hope. Exert a lot of effort. Work harder. Believe in yourself and believe God. Remember to do good a lot of things when you finally became a doctor.

And if you had read this, write another letter for your future self again and send it after you finally graduated your pre-med major.
I am hoping you're still here, alive and kicking. Never forget to thank God, okay? I know you have a lot of flaws but remember, try and try. You'll do good. You will become a successful surgeon someday, trust me.

I'm now bidding you a goodbye.

Truly yours,
Me
